Here we go again

Written by Xtreme Cycling at 18:41 21/2-2022

It's been awhile since the last press release, more than four years to be exact, but today it has been decided that Xtreme cycling is back (for now). After disappearing last time without a trace, teammanager Twan had something to explain to a lot of people. Most importantly to all the riders who wasted away their prime years, only to be told they should probably retire when Twan finally returned.

Why did Twan return this time? Sources say that in today's afternoon nap (yes he has become an old man) Twan had a vision that compelled him to return to his abandoned cycling team. Let's see how long his stint will last this time.

As a way to amend matters the star riders of the last era are provided with trainer jobs. In this way, the golden duo of Marien Kuku and Maxi Picone will assist each other once more, though now in training future race winners instead of winning the races themselves.

The team's future plans are firstly to scout some new talents (read: "spend half of the budget on scouting riders on the hire list only to end up with some sub par individuals and spend the remainder of the money training them"). The main focus will lay on developing a capable climbing team with further plans to eventually branch out and develop a sprinting team as well. The first of the climbing talents have been signed already, alongside a support crew of old veterans who will rack up some glorious victories for the team in the lower divisions.

As the team has sponsors to keep happy nowadays, expect more press releases to follow!

  Thanks guys!

It will probably take pretty long to get to the top divisions with the talents that I have now, so lets hope I encounter some more talented blokes in the future ;)
